1975 Ferrari 312T

The 312T was essentially a development of the 1974 312B3 which, although quick and reliable, did not achieve much in terms of results. For the 1975 season, Ferrari introduced the T version. The most significant technical innovation was the new transverse gearbox, which mated conventionally to the rear of the flat-12 engine, but with most of its mass concentrated ahead of the axle line.

With outboard mounted brakes at the front and inboard at the rear, the fast and nimble 312T dominated the 1975 season, with Niki Lauda victorious in Monaco, Zolder, Anderstorp, Ricard-Castellet and Watkins Glen. These results delivered the World Constructors Championship for Ferrari and Lauda's first World Drivers Championship.
