Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza/MM. 1933. Winner.

If the latter years of the 1920's was Bentley domination, the first part of the 30's was all about Alfa Romeo. Already dominant in Grand Prix racing, the Vittorio Jano designed 8C 2300s became the car to beat - winning Le Mans 4 times in a row, from 1931 to 1934.

The car shown here was the 33 winner, entered by Raymond Sommer and driven by him and the great Tazio Nuvolari, the latter already crowned European Champion in Grand Prix racing.
